Get certified! Freelancer.com has a range of technical exams which allow you to certify your skills to potential employers. On passing each exam, a special badge will be added to your profile. This will highlight your abilities and will be displayed next to your bids, helping you stand out from the pack!
Freelancers can take exams based on their skills. For example, if you are a programmer specializing in AJAX and C#, you are encouraged to take AJAX Programming and C# Programming exams. All exams are multiple-choice and users can skip questions to come back to at the end of the exam. The passing score varies depending on the exam, and Freelancers can take exams as many times as they want. Exams cost US$5 each, except for the practice exam, the Employer and Freelancer Orientation exam, and the Code of Conduct exam, which are free.
Freelancers who have taken an English exam are more likely to be awarded projects, making them a valuable asset to have on your profile page.
Badges are awarded on successful completion of exams. Your badge will include your percentile ranking, which may change over time as more people take the exam.
