V2X for Every Vehicle: Bringing Connected Road Safety Beyond Premium Cars
tarihinde gönderildi - Son değiştirilme

Every year, thousands of accidents happen because a driver did not know what was waiting around the next bend: a stopped truck, a pedestrian crossing, a sudden hazard on the road. V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication promises to close that gap by letting vehicles, infrastructure and road users share safety information in real time.

The challenge? Most V2X solutions today are built for new, high-end vehicles and depend on infrastructure that many roads simply don't have.

What is V2X?

V2X is an umbrella term for a vehicle's ability to exchange information with its surroundings:

V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle): cars warn each other about braking, hazards or collisions

V2I (Vehicle-to-Infrastructure): communication with traffic lights, road signs and toll systems

V2P (Vehicle-to-Pedestrian): alerts involving people on or near the road

V2N (Vehicle-to-Network): cloud-based data such as traffic, weather and road conditions

The Gap: Millions of Vehicles Left Behind

In countries like India, a large share of vehicles on the road are older models, two-wheelers, commercial fleets and buses. None of them come with built-in connectivity. For V2X to actually save lives, it has to work on existing vehicles, at an affordable cost, and in areas where network coverage is not guaranteed.

Our Approach at Magen Daniel Systems

At Magen Daniel Systems, road safety is at the core of what we build. We hold a granted US patent (No. 11,731,645) for a Driver Warning System, and we continue to develop compact, retrofit safety devices that combine:

Embedded hardware: low-power microcontrollers, motion sensing and CAN-bus integration

Connectivity: cellular IoT and short-range wireless communication

Firmware, cloud and mobile apps, all developed in-house

Because we build the full stack ourselves, from PCB to cloud, we can design devices that are practical to install, maintain and scale for fleets and individual drivers alike.

What's Next

V2X will not become mainstream through premium cars alone. It will happen when safety technology becomes affordable, retrofittable and reliable everywhere. That's the problem we are working on.
