Book design for "Golgotha - Curse of the Crucifixion"
We want to create a realistic design. Perhaps with a photo as the background. We want to stay away from abstract.
(Attached file shows the winning designs from a previous contest. This is a SAMPLE ONLY but shows the feel we are looking for)
Please read the brief book description to help with design ideas.
"Golgotha" should be in a bold block font. I want this to resemble crumbling stone. The letters should look like old stones with cracks and breaks.
"Curse of the Crucifixion" should be a readable subtitle.
I envision a dark cover, perhaps with the sun setting over a hill with three crosses atop the hill, but I'm open to any design you may come up with.
Book description - the main character is one of the Roman soldiers that puts Jesus to death. He is then cursed to live forever. He outlives his wife, his children and grandchildren. He watches everyone he loves die. He becomes hate filled and angry.
Forced to live forever, he is unable to kill himself. He becomes a murderous villain and lives through the dark ages, crusades, middle ages and into the modern world.
In the modern world he is extraordinarily wealthy. He has boats, yachts, planes, jets, and homes around the world.
The book is set around the world, including the Middle East, Istanbul, Rome, London, New York, California and more.
The cover should suggest the idea of Roman soldiers 2000 years ago, and the modern luxury of the most wealthy.
In addition to a standard size book design (9in high x 7in wide), the final design will also need to include a standard business card design with the same graphic.
Initial submissions should only be the BOOK COVER DESIGN. When the design has been narrowed down, you will be asked to submit the business card designs.
At the bottom of the book cover, please include; "By Greg J. Gardner"
