Yarışma Özeti

I am creating two new pages on my website. We already have an existing header/footer (link provided below to html file). We also have existing text that can be used on the pages (link provided below to docx file).

For this contest we only require design work (PSD). Conversion to HTML not required. We will post that as a separate wordpress project.

There is no requirement to use all of the text provided in the docx file. We just want to make sure that all the information is conveyed to the website user. Whether it is conveyed using the existing text or via graphics, either is fine.

We DO REQUIRE that you use the existing header/footer of the website. If you look at the "Signup Process" page, or the "Why {company}?" page, then it should be very obvious where the content should go.

We DO REQUIRE that you use some kind of graphics in the page content. Don't just put the raw text between the header/footer and expect a good review.

As a page designer you should understand that viewers only give your page 10 seconds or less to determine whether the page offers any valuable content. So we will be looking for designs that #1 look professional, and #2 convey key points quickly.

UPDATE: I really want a good graphic (or two) for the "Why {company}" page. I want it to convey the following: The "old way" of paying your bills is lots of bills, lots of checks, lots of drafts clearing your bank account... The "new way" is to send a single check to {company}, and then {company} tracks the bills, sends the checks, all in a very organized way.

So far my favorites are #27 for the first page, and # 26 for the second page. I really love how simple they are, and how you can look at each page for less than 10 seconds and get the key points, but there is still enough detail they someone can continue reading the page for more information.

Ok, I want to clarify the message we are trying to convey on the first page. The general message is that - the old way is lots of bills, lots of payments, lots of drafts coming out of your bank account, lots to keep track of - the new way is one bill, one payment, one bank draft, we keep track of everything for you. So maybe we could do something like two graphics on that page, one of the old way on top, and then the new way on bottom. Then for a more descriptive explanation we could put the text from the docx either in the middle of the two or below them. This is just a thought, not a requirement so be creative.

I really like #12 the best so far for the first page. The single large graphic showing the "old way" as confusing and unorganized. I think having another large single graphic would be perfect, showing the "new way" as - write one check to {company} and then {company} tracks all the bills and writes all the checks in an organized manner.
