Every pet is an individual. Every pet has its own personality. And just about every pet is someone’s “fur-baby.” They are comforting companions. They keep us healthy and relieve stress. They play with us and show us unconditional love. And that’s what this contest is all about…our pets and the things they do to make us smile, laugh and love them. Whether it’s the way they greet us at the door when returning from work. Or the way they wake us from a deep sleep when it’s time to get up because they’re hungry. Anything is game, in the way you bring these pets to life.

We are looking for :15, full color, 3D animations of dogs/puppies, cats/kittens, guinea pigs, bunny rabbits, in fact, ANY soft, cuddly pets you may want to animate and enter into this competition on a transparent background. Think friendly, loving in-home environments and what those pets might do there. (Lizards, snakes, spiders, mice and other pest-like vermin NEED NOT APPLY. Only the cutest and friendliest of “house pets” will be considered.

Please upload your entries as HTML5/CSS/Javascript animation files. No later than Monday, March 15, 2021.

There will be MULTIPLE WINNERS and the prize pool is GUARANTEED.

$2,500 USD for the first-place winner
$1,000 USD for the second AND third place winners
$400 USD for each of the next SEVEN (7) winners
$200 USD for each of the next FIFTEEN (15) winners
$10,300 USD in TOTAL Prize Money

You can enter multiple characters and YOU COULD WIN MULTIPLE PRIZES.

    Dear Contest Holder,
    I do HTML5/JS animation using bitmap graphics and this animation should not increase more than 100% as there will be distortions of a bitmap and to worsen quality of it. Please clarify wth your UI designer how large is the size in pixels (wide x high) like optimal for the animation on the webpage?

    Hi! Can I ask - what sort of thing the animal will be doing? Just playing animation or it's gonna be interacting with the viewer (mouse click/tap)?
    Basically, there are several ways to produce this (also in javascript), but it can come with performance issues.

    It could be really fun to make it interactive to user. But I see .mp4 is also a format, so I assume you are fine with just video?

      Hi, Inguss. The animations would NOT be interactive. Yes it would be fun to do that, but, here's a little more of what we're looking for. We're looking for fun things that these animals might do, like carry a bone into the frame. Drop it. Dig a hole and bury the bone. Once buried, they walk out of frame. Or maybe they do something more fun and unexpected, look at the movie, The Secret Life of Pets for inspiration. These animals CAN be characters and be more playful and fun. Please let me know if this does not make sense. Can be characters OR realistic.

      ok, thanks for the answer! I'm concerned about the transparent background. Mp4 doesn't support that. In fact, non of video formats do. Sorry for so many questions, just wanna see how I can provide you with my approach.
