Contest Brief

One information in advance: For everyone who get an ivitation to this contest: I have checked the portfolio of everyone who have got an invitation. Within your portfolio I have found a business-card, a poster, a banner, a flyer or something else with a design I like. For everyone who haven´t got an invitation: Please feel free to take part on the contest.

The main requirement: People should have a look on the poster and should remember: "Here is a fleamarket".
Therefore the main style requirement: "Be creative!".

I need a graphik with advertising for a fleamarket event (German word: "Flohmarkt"), Street: "am Steincenter", Town: "Freising", Comments: "Termine unter www.flohmarktfreunde.de" (means "all event dates, terms and conditions you can find at: www.flohmarktfreunde.de"

Due to legal restrictions the following notice is needed between 1,5 and 2.5 cm high: "Organisiert durch: Veranstaltungsbüro Neuling Jr. - Stefan Neuling - 85283 Wolnzach"

What would I like:
People should come to this event as dealers or buyers, mainly they should remember "here is a fleamarket".

Another legal restriction:
Please note that it is not possible to have the car next to the stand. Due to german legal restricitions it is not allowed to suggest that everyone can come with the car. Therefore please do not enter a car on the placard.

Additional notices:
A slogan I temporarly use: "Trödel, Kitsch und Kuriositäten" (means rummage, kitsch and oddities).
A second slogan I temporarly use: "kostenlose Parkplätze im Steincenter" (means "free parking for visitors on the parking deck from commercial center")
The slogans are no requirements for winning the contest. You can use one or both of it if you have a good idea, but it is not really needed. It´s also okay if the slogans are not included.

Styles and Printing requirements:

Design: for example Comic / Anime / Graffiti / Manga / Street Art / Airbrush / Spray paint / line drawing / pencil drawing / or others? - feel free to be creative
Style: Traditional / Retro / Vintage / Modern / Futuristic / Curious / Sci-Fi / Movie / or others? - feel free to be creative
Notice: Other Design art / Style are explicit welcome.

Colours: from black and white up to 4c everything is okay (4c means full colored / CMYK , but without neon or pantone colours)

Printing: On a mesh banner or a pvc tarpaulin.

Printing size 3 Meters wide, 2 Meters high, also allowed 2 Meters wide and 2 Meters high!

Final printing solution full colored (4c) / 300 DPI, can be delivered as a scale 1:1 with a 300 DPI solution OR a scale 1:10 with a 1000 DPI-Solution

Delivery: .Jpg, .bmp, .ai, .cdr, .freehand or .xar-files. You use an other file type? Please ask, I am able to work with some more formats.

A few general informations about fleamarkets:
- Fleamarkets save the environment, means that old things have a chance for a 2nd life.
- With dealing on fleamarkets the dealers get some additional money.
- Buyers save money with buying 2nd hand goods.
- Clothes are washed a few times. Therefore no chemicals from producing are in the clothes.
- People from every social stratum get together on fleamarkets.
- A fleamarket is easy to use for dealers: Take your old things, come, deal.
- You can find very old things like antiques on the fleamarket, for example a grammophon.
- Selling on fleamarkets is cheap. We offer a very low rate for dealers.

Maybe this general informations will give you an idea for a poster. And please remember: "Be creative!".

I know my english is not very well. Therefore it is possible that not everything is very clear. Please feel free to ask questions you have.

Dear all. It was very heavy for me to decide whichone is the best. Sorry to everyone who have not won. I have started a new contest for a flyer design. Please feel free to participate on it. All designers which have 3 or 4 stars for the actual design: That was a real good work. I like everyone. For everyone with 1 or 2 stars: good work, but finally not my "taste".

  and please make sure you choose the design with NO font mistake and EASY to read font color, because the viewer need to get informations quickly!

No. Sorry. It was 3 weeks online and so many designers have delivered good work. It is now heavy enough to decide which one will be the best design. But I will start a new contest in the next days with similar requirements.

Many possible ways: You can send it as a private message to me, you can upload it in your portfolio. The last way is that you save it on your pc for my next contest (will start in the next days/weeks) and it will be a contest for a two side flyer for fleamarkets.

Btw: Within your portfolio is a design I really like. When you have an idea for my project what is so good as your work in your portfolio, I will change the project to guaranteed immediately.

Not yet. I will make it to guaranteed when a design is in the contest what I really like, but please understand that I will not pay a design I don´t like. Please keep in mind that it is also possible that I like more than one design. In this case it is possible that I buy more than one design.

4c means 4 colors (CMYK = CYAN, MAGENTA, YELLOW, KEY (key for black)). Please find more information about color printing on wikipedia:
