I am collecting poems for an Anthology. The winning poem will receive 10.00. I will buy others for $1-$2. each, and am able to purchase up to 10. I am looking for all styles, so write in any style you choose. They can be simple, but they should be deep and inspiring. They can show the struggle, but they must not be dark and despairing. They should point to the intellectual and creative mind of the person who is autistic. First person poems would be great! Once awarded the prize and/or purchased, all rights would be given to me to publish them in an anthology. The winning poem will be a featured poem in the anthology, and credit will be given to all who provide a name for such credit. You can win the award and sell a poem as well, so enter as many as you want. Poems should be sharp, with good English.

The poems I am looking for deal with autism, and would speak to the creative and often very intelligent mind of the autistic, including Asperger's—poems about social issues, misunderstanding, and emotion about what goes on when they wave their hands or when they won't look at you. They can reflect the need to be accepted just like anyone else. It must be real content in that it reflects true actions of the autistic, and reasons for behavior. Those who submit and have their poems accepted, will be asked to contribute again. I am praying for you all, asking Jesus to help poetry writers to find great content that is birthed in their souls, and will come out on paper as a word from the Lord. All poems should be your creation

I also want permission to edit so it meets good literary standards.

Hi all. To anyone reading this, I just want to say a big thank you on behalf of all of us to mrshud25 for giving us all the opportunity to star in her upcoming anthology. I truly did not expect to win with the amazing competing entries. Each and every entry I saw had, like mrshud25 herself noted, an amazing level of depth and emotion to the creation. There was definitely no clear winner in this competition, and just about anyone could have been the victorious one. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that mrshud25 also accepts free entries (as was the case for #87 ). So in case anyone is looking for the just the credit of being entitled as the author in an anthology, you can actually give away your entries. Just to let you know.

Hello, thank you for this contest. I have enjoyed very much participating and reading others' poems which have turned out to be very emotional! I have tried to change the price of the entries but it's not possible. I have 6 entries that you have liked, I'm be willing to give them to you for 10 US to have them published in your anthology. I don't know if you can make an offer on the entries through Freelancer, otherwise I propose you to offer me a 10 US project and I'll accept it, it's the only way I can think of as I cannot change the prices anymore. For those of you left I would sincerely like to put as many of these poems into this anthology. There really isn't a top few that I would pick. Even the simplest entries have power in what is said. Unfortunately I am on a budget. If any of you are willing to lower the price of your entries from $1 - $2 I would be able to add more than just a few more. I want to thank you all for your submissions to this contest. It is amazing to me how many people out there not only understand one in the autism spectrum, but how many of you want to understand, know and accept. This has been a really difficult contest. If you only knew how many times I have read over each of the remaining entries. I have made my decision and hopefully will be adding the rest of the entries that did not win to this anthology. Poems can be free verse. The do not have to rhyme. I would like to see some Haiku and irony poetic styles. I also like spoken word Other styles are ABC, acrostic, or Lyric.
