ARKĒA Clinic — Logo Design Brief

【Important】
We evaluate logo design quality only. Please present your design on a clean white or off-white background. AI-generated mockups, store signage, product applications, and excessive presentation effects are not required and will not influence our evaluation.

■ About ARKĒA Clinic
ARKĒA Clinic is a premium medical clinic opening in urban Japan. One physician integrates internal medicine, neurology, psychosomatic medicine, and aesthetic medicine — treating the body, nervous system, and mind as a continuous whole. The clinic serves sophisticated adults in their 40s and 50s who invest in their health and quality of life. A future doctor's cosmetics line is also part of the brand vision.
ARKĒA is a coined word combining ARCHÉ (αρχή) — the ancient Greek philosophical concept meaning "the origin and fundamental principle of all things" — and "care." The name embodies the clinic's philosophy: returning to the origin of one's essential balance, and caring for the whole person from that foundation.
The correct spelling is A-R-K-Ē-A. The macron over the E (Ē) is a non-negotiable element of the brand identity, visually representing a horizontal line — equilibrium, continuity, and the point between opposites. Please ensure the macron is preserved accurately in all logo applications.

■ Core Keywords
Origin. Return. Equilibrium. Silence. Evidence

■ Brand Direction
Minimal. Intelligent. Quietly authoritative. The design subtracts rather than adds. Authentic, yet new.

■ Design Scope
Logotype (custom lettering for ARKĒA) and symbol mark.
However, proposals without a symbol mark are also welcome. If the typography is truly refined and carries the full weight of the brand, a symbol may not be necessary at all.
The primary usage will be gold lettering on white or off-white background. Please prioritize this direction in your mockups.

■ Logotype
The design should convey balance, tension, and silence.

■ Symbol Mark
Abstract. Structural. Not decorative. Avoid literal motifs — no medical, nature, or human body references. Negative space over legibility. Works independently and as a unified system with the logotype.

■ Color
Restrained gold. Neutral, not yellow.

■ Spatial Reference
The spatial concept is inspired by a corridor where soft morning light filters through — pure, quiet, and clear. Dark backgrounds do not reflect the brand environment.

■ Naming
ARKĒA is primary. Clinic is secondary — small, wide-tracked, optional in some applications.

■ Deliverables
The winner will be required to provide: Logotype / Symbol mark / Monochrome version / Color variations (gold and monochrome)
In addition, the winner will be asked to create a basic logo usage guideline (regulation document) covering minimum size, clear space, and color specifications.

■ Final Note
We welcome proposals from designers with experience in fashion, hotel, cosmetics, or luxury branding.
We reserve the right to close the contest early if an outstanding entry is received.
