I am a electrician and a mechanic running my own firm. The name of the firm is NieMec.
I need a good clean logo to use both on my web page, business cards and business sign. I want the logo too look good regardless if it is small or big, maybe one in black and white and one in color to use in different situations. I would like to have a vintage cogwheel, a lightning flash and the name NieMec incorporated in the logo, but it is not mandatory. The important thing is that the logo associates with the electrician/mechanic theme.
I have made two (not very good looking) mock-ups of what I mean (NieMec.jpg and NieMec2.jpg) and a example of the type of vintage cogwheel i like.
But bear in mind that they are just my bad suggestions, you have full artistic freedom.
I prefer the files to be in a high resolution for printing signs, cards, stickers and so on. I want the layers to be included in the project so i can open it/them up in such programs as ex. Photoshop to be able to turn on and off layers (if maybe I don't want the firm name to show or the text or some background) I have included a example (NieMecPSD.zip) I don't want to start masking if I need some part of the design.
The finished logo name/logo needs to look sharp even if I feel like resizing it up or down. Vector Graphic ?
The finished piece must be transferred and not used for portfolio or anywhere else for obvious reasons. I'll need all files used inc .ai and .eps and font

  The cogwheel looks much better, but the flash is to big and fuzzy, won't look good if I for example make a cut out sign. I want the flash to fit mostly inside of the cogwheel but the points can protrude from behind the rim of the cogwheel.

  Keep the spokes of the cogwheels as they are but make the cogs a bit more square with flat tops and rounded sides. The flashes still need some work. they look a bit odd or out of place. The color combination is not quite right.

  You need to look att the spokes of the example jpg:s I have included in the description. I don't like the straight spokes, they should look more rounded. The cogs you have done in the logos is ok. Maybe cogs with rounded sides and straight on the top of the cogs. Regards Ronnie.
