Looking for an illustrator to work with me on a children's book about the adventures of a mischievous white dog.

There are 30 illustrations required, as well as a front and rear cover. The illustrations required are of the same dog, sometimes with another character.

This book is aimed at young children so the illustrations should be fun and expressive.

She has an Instagram page where you will see pictures and get a feel for her personality: Lhotse_the_samoyed

Open to discuss rates and pricing for the full job once the competition has ended and I have selected the most suitable illustrator.

To give you a better idea of the type of illustrations required, here is a line from the book which is split across a double page. The book reads with the left hand side showing 'good' and the right hand side showing 'mischievous'.

Left side: I'm Lhotse the Samoyed, like a white arctic fox
Right side: When I'm feeling naughty, I steal peoples socks

We will select the contest winner for the best illustration that fits the brief. We will then be looking to offer the job for all illustrations for the book. Whilst we are only looking for an example of your work for the contest, please only enter if you are interested in the whole job.

Hi, CH. Do you know at least one famous-well know WHITE colored kids book character? You don`t , I`m assuming. And there is reason. Entirely white creature doesn`t give much to express emotions-moods-personality. From the other side the extremely fluffy coat hides body dynamics - character become static. So why this will headache for every illustrator.

  Hi Indrek, Thank you for your comments - This is a really interesting view and as someone who is not an illustrator it wasn't something I had given any thought. We managed to have a digital image of Lhotse made for our Family Christmas Card this year (just a head shot) so I thought it would absolutely be possible. Hopefully someone will be happy to take on the challenge.
