We envision the full width header and image as an anchoring point for the whole site. As it will take up the upper half of the page we would prefer it to be in light crisp colors (the background of the lower half of the page will be white and it needs to blend well with that).
The actual image can be a combination of any number of the following images and symbols: sky, clouds, road, the company name, the company logo (colors can be muted or it can be used as an outline or watermark) and stylized elements of the American flag.
To come back to the colors we would like for some of the following to be included whites, grays, sky blue or very light turquoise blue, muted reds (if needed as part of the flag). However take this as starting point only.
The design we are looking for is light and contemporary. We would like to stay away from a simple compilation of these symbols and images and would appreciate if they are well blended together to represent a cohesive idea.
