Contest Brief

Hi all,

Very straightforward design job. Please see uploaded examples that I have in mind. Designs should please be uploaded as Photoshop and/or InDesign files and a PDF please.

I am also uploading a pdf named Barend CV, which will basically serve as your info source for all the info that has to appear on the final design.
Info isn't final as yet, so it is crucial that the final files be uploaded in either Photoshop or InDesign format.

Please leave enough space for more recommendations, as this field is still incomplete.

Then, for each social media profile link, there should be an icon of the associated platform next to the appropriate link.

Please advise if you have any further queries of questions. If you are unsure, please ask if you need more information – I am online daily.

I am on Freelancer myself, so I know the value of a good rating – ratings guaranteed.

      make a jpeg or png file and upload it for contest entry, if he selects your design then you will provide AI or PSD.

    Would it be possible to incorporate some basic information of the candidate on the CV? I am not going to advise where the information must be placed - let's see what you guys can do with this. This will probably be the last update.

    I really feel sorry for babakneza. Same thing what happened to me last contest. All of a sudden you chose a wild entrant who came with light colours and you rewarded as winner within few hours in old contest. I am eager to see who and when you are going to choose a winner this contest :-) Atleast you guided with the colours to them right from the start :-P

      Hi Priyanka, why are you not entering? Everyone stands a fair chance. I haven't made up my mind yet at all. 4 days to go, can still get a lot of entries. All entrants have an equal opportunity in the sense that, my comments are visible to everyone, which would give all entrants a clear idea of what I am looking for.

      @babakneza Sorry, i didn't mean to copy anything,
      I was just told to upload my work in a tint color.
      Don't you agree that its our job to do as the employer says.

      The designs are different yes and I uploaded two examples for entrants to follow. So of course, there will be similar designs. There are however 4 more days before the contest is over, so I will make my decision closer to the time. Thank you both for your hard work so far. Will give more notes if my eye catches anything.

      It's looking really good. Could you perhaps try the CV with the same teal/mint teal colour that one of the other entrants are using. Just want to see what it will look like on your design.

    Hi guys, maybe to make it easier for you all RE the education section. University of Cape Town - GetSmarter is the institution. The diploma that was completed at this institution is Guest House Management. The University of Cape Town isn't a final year module. It is a completely different qualification.

    Just now I saw the previous contest result. I am disappointed as you preferred light theme over black. If you have asked for lighter version then I could have provided you one with pleasure as the contest in nowhere near deadline :-( Anyhow just for clarification I am asking for the theme you prefer before my start. Please reply Sir.

      Hi PriyankaVJ, so far I am quite happy with the two entries I got so far. So you can follow a light theme please (white background). I really liked your other two entries on the other contest - the font was too modern / sci-fi for my taste though. Let the two uploaded examples lead you. Also check my comments on the other two entries. If you are uncertain about anything else, please let me know.
