Contest Brief

I had a blog that I've re-named and am looking to completely re-vamp with a new look/theme. I'm going back to school to be a nurse, but on the side pursue my passion for photography, cooking and writing. The blog is called "Nursing My Appetite", so this should be the main focus of the logo. I'd like to have a slogan included below that says "a celebration of food, health and everything happy". I'm imagining the title to be either in all caps or all lowercase letters, and the slogan in more of a script or more whimsical if that makes sense :)

Overall, I'm looking for something crisp and clean. The background of the blog will be white, and the colors I'm thinking of incorporating are yellow and green. I imagine the font to be black but am open to suggestions. If images are used, I'm interested in lemons and/or basil or other herbs. Images should be crisp and clean on a white background, either tucked behind letters or on the side. I'm equally interested in photography as I am sketches, I just don't want the images looking "cartoonish".

I've never used this site before so this may be stating the obvious, but it should look professional and be high-resolution enough that it will look as great on the top of a blog as it (might) on a future business card.

Hi everyone,

THANK YOU for your submissions! First of all I apologize for not being more clear in the beginning about the fonts and images. And yes, I guess I was looking for more of a banner and am SO sorry for not articulating that better before. I can’t fit all of my feedback in one comment so please see the few comments I’m leaving now as they TOGETHER will help you clearly understand what I’m looking for.

The closest one that catches the look I’m going for is Submission #24 – please use this as reference.

1) For the image, I don’t want anything vector (didn’t know what this was until now). Looking for something that’s more of a sketch, and it should be off to the side of the words. The below lemons are my FAVORITE… but would love to have a leaf or two added for a touch of green. The thing is I don’t think this image can be legally used so let me know what you can come up with.

To clarify, I'm looking for something that doesn't look cartoonish. It should look like nature... (i.e.: either a rough sketch of lemons or herbs or a photograph of them).
