Design a Logo for a business consultancy

Contest Brief

Our client is a business consultant called "3S-invest". We have contracted a designer with a logo, but the delivered work was good, but not good enough.

Attached you see the current suggested CI. The color-palette and general style should be kept, but we need other logo ideas. The logo should resemble and revolve around the "3S", however, the current logo looks too much like "BS". I have also attached the old logo as an idea.

The design is supposed to be FLAT DESIGN, however no long shadow and not too "playful". The general appearance should, as mentioned, follow the current CI but also resemble the clients characteristics as business consultancy which is serious, professional, experienced and for corporate clients.

    Congratulations, you just bought yourself two letters written in a font (that is only free for personal use - http://www.dafont.com/dylovastuff.font).       Agree. Looks like the company behind this contest will get into legal trouble later on with that logo. I suggest that the contest holder should have considered another entry.

      Dear Robert,
      We are sorry that you disagree with our choice and find our short list suboptimal. As we mentioned earlier, the choice is not entirely ours, but also our clients.
      As for your question on "what the hell 141 is supposed to be", I can tell you that we found this to be one of the few actually creative proposals. It resembles the "3S" idea very uniquely although it might not be as obvious and clear as the other proposals (including yours). I also would advise you to refrain from such comments, not only because they are impolite and show your lack of respect towards the work of others, but also because it makes it highly unlike that you will be considered for future projects.
      Yet I wish you all the best in your future project and herewith exclude you from further projects.

    Please take a look at my entries at #188 and #189.

    As you can see on my designs, I decided to make the letter "S" of the word "3S Invest" as the exponent for the number "3". The reason why I did this is because in mathematics, an exponent is a number that can multiply the base number by a number of times. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exponentiation)

    I'd like to express in my design that your company can deliver a service similar to how an exponent in math works.

    Hope you'll like my idea inspired by exponents!
