We have some great designs from a number of designers but we are yet to find a winner. We have therefore extended the competition for a further 7 days. Many of the designs we are seeing come through are variations of designs that other designers have submitted. We would encourage anyone submitting designs NOT to do this please, and instead submit original and different designs. We have provided lots of feedback to designers to help refine and shape their designs but we are still looking for something that stands out; captures the essence of Brixton Market and more importantly is cool funky and representative of our story.

We need please a label design for our new range of sauces. The company name is 'Brixton Sauce Company' and we are making a spicy banana flavour.

This challenge is to design a label which will go onto a bottle of our sauce, roughly the size of a worcester sauce / soy sauce bottle around 8cm tall x 10cm wide. The heritage to the company is British and Multicultural, with influences from the caribbean and philipines in our sauces. It needs to stand out off the shelf and MUST reflect the vibrance of Brixton Market. We like; Sailor Jerry; Hendrix Gin; 50's retro.

It needs to please be:

1. Cool and retro original as opposed to farmhouse or motherly.
2. It is v important that the company name is prominent.
3. We want to capture the essence of Brixton market, with all its culture, colour and vibrance

  We want a design that stands out as being instantly recognisable.
  It doesn't need to have lots of different colours, but any colours used should have an impact.
  As we will be looking to create different varieties in future, it is important for the "Brixton Sauce Company" logo to stand out on its' own on the label, as we will then be able to create some brand consistency.

Note to all designers. Thank you v much indeed for your designs. They are varied and in many cases along the lines we had hoped to see.

Anyone wishing to re-submit would be advised to do a google look-up of Brixton Market, to try and get the feel for the colour and vibrance of the place. The sauce flavour is going to draw on the overseas influences communities from the carribean and philipines etc have had on on British food culture, so this is a representation of modern british cuisine.

One week to go. The winning submission will have the opporutnity to do more work with us in the future.
