Restaurant name is "Katz Diner" (NOT "Dinner"). A DINER is usually a casual restaurant that serves American foods like burgers, fries, milkshakes, and all day breakfast items.

The logo may have a "modern vintage", "artsy" or "homely" look. You may use any of the following symbols if you like: frying spatula + wire whisk, wooden spoon, rolling pin, apple pie or a slice of cake, a heart, and farm animals (like pig, cow, chicken).

You may use colors apple green, black, and white but you must add a bright color like red or orange with maximum 4 solid colors (no blends/gradients or drop shadows). Font must be simple and modern.

Winner will be required to submit original artwork and source files. Final files and fonts must be supplied in PDF, JPEG, AI, and PNG formats. Preferred format would be vector-based, if possible, and resolution must be applicable for BOTH website and print.

Hi everybody! For those who are confused what a DINER is -- it is a small restaurant that originated from the U.S. It features foods like burgers, fries, shakes, and usually all day breakfast items. The skillet or griddle and fryer are the primary cooking means.

For more info, please see http://www.americandinermuseum.org/site/history. Unlike the original diner, our restaurant is not pre-fabricated from a railroad car. Ours is just a regular, CASUAL restaurant serving typical diner food (no wines, beers or liquor). Thanks.

Please stop submitting logos with forks, spoons or knives. We have enough already.:)

The colors closest to our wall can be found in entries #s 2, 8, 21, 25, 27, 30 or you can check out the file that we recently attached. The green color of the bar chairs is darker. If your green is too far, you may want to adjust. Thanks.

Another complimentary to the green color that we used is orange (like the one used by #23).

Since the restaurant will also specialize in cakes and desserts, you may also get inspiration from logos used by bakeries, cakes, and dessert shops. Thanks.:)

Hi samzran! Thanks for your entry. The green color on the word katz is perfect but the chef's head is too big. It would be nice to put a body. Please refer to #10 for a good size and look. Only make it female. Thanks again.

On #8, just to clarify, what exactly is the cup with straw? Does it have chicken feet? What's around letter "D"?

Your logo has so much potential especially with the chef drawing. Just a suggestion, try creating a "perky" but still warm and homely looking female chef (age 30-40 years old) with big brown eyes. No need to put the words "café / restaurant" in the logo. Thanks.
