Hi there,

I am a graphic designer but I hate designing my own stuff! I would like a logo designing for my studio, EightyEight™

Currently the logo I have is just helvetica bold, very clean. I don't mind something like that, but I would prefer a logo that was more like Pinterest. I really like the American Diner, 1950's style look, but I have tried many fonts (lobster, wisdom script, blessed day etc) and they don't look quite right.

So you have two choices, either something very slick, modern and sharp, or something retro, 1950's style.
