Eleventh Hour Escape Rooms is a new Australian escape room business, and we're looking to the designers of Freelancer for our logo! This logo will help us to establish our brand, and will be used on social media (Instagram and Facebook - our main form of advertising), business cards, our website, merchandise and as a favicon. The ultimate goal is to capture the mystery, intrigue and suspense of escape rooms.
Escape rooms are real-life adventure games in which teams become immersed in a narrative for typically up to one hour, and solve physical puzzles in order to unravel the story and eventually escape, or achieve some other overarching goal (e.g. catch a killer, defuse a bomb, etc.). They are becoming increasingly popular amongst 18-35 year olds.
We ourselves are in our mid-20s, and are skilled, driven, passionate and creative. Over the last few years we have played dozens of escape rooms, and have incorporated what we loved and avoided what we didn't. One of the biggest things we love, and something that we have built our business around, is a story that grips you and pulls you in from the start, and we would like our logo to be the beginning of that journey. We want people to see it and be drawn to find out more, and to be part of one of our stories. We will have many that change over time, so can't provide details about any one in particular.
We prefer pictorial logos, and are ideally after something that could work in black and white (which would be inverted when printing on different backgrounds). We like logos that are technically clever but minimalist in style, that intrigue you when you look more closely by offering more meaning or suggestions. This could combine some aspect of our name with something suggestive of escape rooms, mystery, or puzzles.
We are very happy to discuss this further if you do have any ideas, no matter what they may be, and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch!
