I'm looking for someone to make a logo like the one attached. It will be the logo for my boat. Please used the attached example as guidance, but I'm open to other design ideas as well.

Requirements:
-Higher quality and less-pixelated than the attached logo
-Keep the theme of an alligator holding a propeller shaft (the black part in the attached logo) with a boat's propeller (the gold part of the attached logo).
-Keep colors simple
-The logo needs to be able to scale without distortion -- at it's max it will be printed at about 14" x 8", but will also be printed smaller (for jackets/shirts)

Updated info:
-The boat is an International-14 - a high performance sailing skiff, so if you can make the logo fit the intensity of the boat that would be awesome
-The boat name is Propagator - think of it like prop(propeller)-a-gator(alligator)
-I tend to like designs with hard-edge, straight line designs over more rounded, cartoony designs...but I'm open to whatever ideas you have!
-Please submit original work only!

What are you guys talking about a stolen artwork? First It's a Free Commercial Use graphics from the Internet, Everyone can use it since It's not a Stolen Logo, and no company name has in it. So no copyright rules will be implemented. And also one thing, It's not look like the Original one, We mixed concepts and Ideas so It will not consider as Copying, That's the most Logo designers do. Mixing Concepts on the Web. Why so envy? Instead of talking and doing something bad comments to others, why not Create a Good Entry and win? not hatin' just saying.

  @ alexisbigcas11, you need to read up on INTELLECTUAL COPYRIGHT, what were you thinking when you were removing the watermark of the original artist ? He put it there for a reason.
  
  Look what muhammadnuman did, he posted a logo he had copied from google or whatever, admitted his fault, used the same concept in an ORIGINAL design and gets 5 stars.
  So stop whining and show what you are capable of.
  Thing is.... everyone here now knows you attitude to design, they will be paying more attention to your works in the future ;)

  I fully agree with rmissin. As someone already wrote above "a GUIDE is different from a COPY"
  Whether authorized or not, is a copy if you simply use the same design (which many have probably used too). One thing is to take a similiar concept but make a completely orginial design, but that does not prevent there logos that can be very similar.

  FossilPixel, take it easy, my intention is not to create a riot.
  As 'dandrexrival07' wrote, "a GUIDE is different from a COPY". Like in your design #77 (that's different)
  It looks better and is a design based in an idea and not only a clipart modified in the fonts and style.
  
  This is not about us, but the work that the customer will get, that no fence to have two almost equal logos and cause problems. As I said my intention is not to cause unrest. Good luck.

What an attitude people. What will you get in discouraging Other's Design? You criticizing other's work because Copying? even though It's not really actually Copying. It's using graphics on the Internet and applying your own Ideas to make your own version of it.
