Hume Highlights is the electronic newsletter of The Hume Center (www.humecenter.org) in California. The Hume Center is a non-profit community mental health center and while there may not be a budget for this kind of thing, I'm putting down my own money to spruce it up! I have always wanted a logo for it that was different from our usual agency logo. We use the newsletter to advertise our fundraisers, send out job announcements and updates about psychology, and inform readers about recent interesting stories about us or the field of mental health in general. It comes out 4 to 6 times a year.

My vision is using that same idea, where the letter and design are fused together. I imagine using H, where the top blank section is created by putting a white moon in there and the bottom blank section is created by putting a high wave there. Please see our company logo for what the moon and wave should resemble: www.humecenter.org. I may or may not want the words Hume Highlights next to the logo on the right. The design should match the blue in our current logo and use white. If you want a third color (optional, you can stick to 2 if you'd like), then please use the green from our website.

Just to let everyone know that I think there might be two winners who will get the prize. I believe the winners are already among those I rated with five stars. I am just waiting to see one or two with revisions before making the final decision. Thank you for your great submissions! You have really proven to me the quality that comes from this site. I think next I'll be asking for submissions for a toddler picture book I wrote.

  I'm not very impressed by your professionalism here with this comment about questioning my decision. you must be used to in this business the "employer" making total unique and subjective and crazy decisions each time that may not make sense to you. In the end, the decision was to go with logos that very closely resembled our company logo for our newsletter so no one saw this as a rebranding. Your logo you designed is a $200 logo, you're right, for a $30 contest and I appreciate your efforts.

Thank you all for your wonderful logo design work. The contest is now over as I have chosen two winners. This was so much fun and I appreciated every entry. If I had extra money, I would be buying at least two more submissions just because they look like works of art to me!
