Hy. I'm a freelancer just like you on this platform. I'm specialized in brochure, magazines and catalogues design. But when it comes to logos I'm completely disarmed. I have no imagination in creating one, even for me :D . I know this can sound crazy but this is how it is.

I need a logo for myself. I don't realy know what I want but here are some hints.

1. It should be something that would be representative even without my name next to it. I will usually use it with my name next to it, but it should be something apart. Just playing with the text won't be a good idea.
2. It can be something ispired from a bear (a paw maybe or something else..), cause my last name is "Ursu" (Romanian word for Bear). But it can be something abstract as well.
3. I like this shade of green: #9dd91f, but if you file like you can work out with some multicolored ideas you're welcome.

You'll find attached some logos that I found in google, i don't knon what companies does these represent and I don't realy care, I just liked them :)
I think Arctica and Diagonalpixel are my favorites... Some playing with key letters O W A - OlyWebArt would also be a good idea....

I'm online about 18h out of 24, so communication and feedbacks are guaranteed...

If I missed something that you find important to work on this please let me know about it.

Hi, everybody. This contest it's in about 14 hours to finish. I think I will award this one before the time's up, cause as I said I'm a freelancer too and I know how I was waiting for the contest holders decisions... :) I have already picked 8 entries and started a pool. I think in less than 10 hours we'll have a winner.
I just want to say thank you to all of you, you did a great job and it was realy nice to work with you.

The main idea for the logo I'm looking for is the possibility of ussing it with and without my name next to it....

  you get the rejections because if I give you a 1 star rating, then new logos that are submited are listed after all rating entries, and that's frustrating too. And If I'm not mistaken you get that credit for submiting your idea, if you get rejected, than you loose that credit, that's all. And in that order of things are you here for some credit number or for money?
  And about logos, I think I'm the one who decides how decent the logo is, and if it worth any attention or no, that's all..

  I think it isn't and I'm definetely not going to award that one. I described what I am looking for in a previous message. Skroll a bit down and you'll see all the requirements.
  But the most important thing is that you can be free in creating this one. I just didn't yet get an entry that will leave me a good enough impression....

  C'mon. 7.7 millions of freelancer here and you after a 30 USD contest blame them? The minimum amount of withdrawing amount is 30 USD you are right, wat's the point to withdraw less? And the 5 USD they took from you are the fee. If you'll have a look at membership packages you'll understand it. However, this is a 50 USD contest, win it and you'll get 45 (5 USD will be taken as fee) and you'll be able to withdraw your money ;)

OK. let's have some updates for all of you :)
1. Remove the W and A focus just on O. I was thinking about something interesting like the DP you saw in attached file. Writing 3 letters the way 90% of you did, I could myself.
2. I think that "exploded points" style is the thing. But I see it better if it will come from the top right corner insted of the central left side. Also, try to make it increasing from smaller point so bigger one. DON'T JUST COLORIZE THE SAMPLE I PROVIDED YOU.
3.you have 2 way to go on. 3.1 Work with the O letter like I described before (and just ad my name next to it. My complete name Olywebart, the graphic part you work on should be separable) or 3.2. think about a symbol, create it the same way I described before and, again, use my name next to it.

I must say I'm very happy with the contest result so far. I think it's gonna be a long week with a hard decision at the end...
Some of you got some private messages. Remastering the logo the way I mentioned in the message would increase your odds..

Some of you didn't pay atention to this line: Just playing with the text won't be a good idea.

And most of you didn't see this one: " when it comes to logos I'm completely disarmed. I have no imagination in creating one, even for me" - That wants to say, that you can go far enough from my above hints and be creative.

Sealing this contests costs me 20 USD. I thought it's better award 50 USD to the winner in an opened contest, than award 30 USD in a sealed one...
