I am seeking a logo for the Mediterranean Center for Innovation in Education, that will be launched next month in Sevilla, Spain. The Mediterranean Center for Innovation in Education will be based out of the Costa del Sol, on the southern coast of Spain, and will serve as a professional development and training center for teachers and education leaders in international schools. While the center will be located in southern Spain, it's audience will be teachers and educational leaders from international schools across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and North America. It's goal is to be a center of excellence, innovation, and cutting-edge educational practice. It has already partnered with such notable institutions as Apple, Inc., LEGO Education, Harvard University, and the United Nations to design progressive training institutes for teachers and leaders. Plans are in motion to host institutes in other parts of the Mediterranean as well: Rome, Crete, Malta, Sicily, Dubrovnik etc.
The logo should reflect several things at once:
- the fact that the Center is set in the Mediterranean -- this can be done very subtly
- it is a very cutting-edge, progressive and modern enterprise
- is a central point for creativity, dynamic practice and forward thinking in education
- it is an exciting, energetic and vibrant place
I am looking for a logo that reflects these qualities but is also elegant --- the feeling should be high quality, high class. The full text of the Center's name should be in the logo. IMPORTANT NOTE: even though the Center will be based in Spain, it is really meant to serve a regional (Mediterranean) presence and not a Spanish one. So, I am not interested in the logo being based on the Spanish flag, Spanish national colors, etc.
