I came up with this last night on photoshop. Please limit future submittals to variations of this.

UPDATE 11/9/2013

OK designers, so I think this will be my last comment. I'd like to see the architecture or design incorporated more. I came across this logo and I think something similar would be a great way to achieve it by giving it the sketchy "architectural" feel as the enclosed. For those new submittals or those who can spend a few moments tweaking their previous submittals I think this would add that final touch to have the logo read as desired.

We are currently looking for a graphic designer to work on the logo creation for my existing company, Alonso Builders, LLC. The website will soon be redeveloped and need a dynamic and creative person that will be able to deliver an original, professional & captivating logo for our business. We are a residential and commercial builder who is expanding be a design / build copmany by offering architectural services. I'd like for the logo to incorporate the both architecture and construction management with equal emphasis on both.

Our current website is www.alonsobuilders.com, and we will be redoing this and our letterhead suite after selecting a revamped logo. Winner of the logo design will have first crack at the rest of our needs.

Enclosed please find our current logo for reference. You can base your design off of our current logo or think of something outside the box. A few things to note:

1. We are looking to morph into a design / build firm
2. Focus is on high end / modern / minimalist
3. We are located in South Florida / Tropical
4. Sustainability in design and construction
5. boutique firm........personalized service

Guys, I've attached a mock up I did of our current logo. I'm thinking I might prefer to stay within the current logo, text, and layout as shown Please modify font, colors, and tweak logo. I like the logo with shifting colors showing progression of construction. I would just like to add architecture to that progression.

  Very well done Valentina....its simple, modern, reads home builder. I'd like for the font to be stronger. perhaps with alonso in a normal font and builders in BOLD. Also, I think you softened the colors too much. Think about going back to the original palette or coming up with a different set of colors.
