I am an interior designer and am looking to have my logo redesigned to better go with my branding and portfolio. I want something with a clean yet dramatic look. Please take a look at my website www.sarahstaceydesign.com for reference. The website will stay the same, I am not happy with my current logo. I think it is a little drab and boring. I basically designed it and would like for it to be more edgy.

Attached are examples of logos that I like. I want to note that my new one can't be all that similar because both are friend's logos. I like the optical illusion and I like the black and white. I could use a color, perhaps a blue.

I am a boutique business, so I'd like the logo to reflect that. I don't want it to look corporate. The logo will be used at the top middle of my website and on business cards, so I'd like for it to be symmetrical. Most important is that the design is clean.

To those that are concerned with my decision. I mentioned that I liked the optical illusion but it was not necessary in a Public Clarification post. I also mentioned that "most important is that the design is clean" in the brief. This design is clean, is black and white, and doesn't necessarily conform to a traditional optical illusion, but it follows all other points I requested and it looks like a classic design I will be able to use for years to come.

  If you would have given this design a minimum of 4 stars during the contest, that would help the other contestants understand what direction they should be heading in. We respect your decision of course :)

It would have been nice if you would inform the participants about the change of mind. Some feedback would have been great. That way others would have had a fair chance to present new designs.

Its their contest they can choose anybody and any design.but the problem is why all this talk in the design brief if you want just text.you should tell us from the beginning to know which direction we can take

Hi CH, i respect your decision for the winning entry... but you could have just made the brief that you are looking for open ideas rather than directing everyone with illusion bla bla bla and now choosing something that is totally out of the way...

Hi everyone, thank you for your submittals. I think I favor the designs that do not have my initials (SS) and that the decoration is behind my business name as compared to on the side or on top. Also, the design doesn't have to have an optical illusion in it.
