Contest Brief

Design our logo: Ride Malibu is a start up motorcycle rental and touring business with merchandising opportunities based in the iconic Malibu, CA. We are looking for a logo that has a cool vintage feel, but is not too busy as the design will be used on our website RideMalibu.com and on t-shirts, hats, etc... to be likely worn by big name celebrities. We want the logo to capture the feel of the classic Malibu as inspired by Steve McQueen and the movie Endless Summer to name just a few. Malibu has a rich history with motorcycling and motorsports, as well as it remains one of the top surf spots in the U.S. We are *not* looking the for just the words Ride Malibu under a picture of a motorcycle as the logo. A great logo would be one where the words (not just simple text) could stand alone, or be an integral part of the design (see Indian logo attached as an example). Our logo should attract international travelers as well as motorcycle enthusiasts globally, with a cool retro/vintage logo feel. Malibu is more then Pacific Coast Highway, it has ~20,000 square miles of hills and canyons that all types of wheeled enthusiasts come to enjoy. Inspiration can come from the Malibu sign and related images attached, but we are looking for a very unique vintage feel/design. Pay particular attention to the Tattoo logo file attached... this is the look and feel we are looking for. The business name is RideMalibu - or Ride Malibu. Thanks in advance.
