Thanks for the fantastic submissions so far! Our expectations have been surpassed! We’ve included more feedback below to help those of you who have submitted improve your designs with very small changes.
Our group tends to gravitate to the more simplistic, clean, crisp, contemporary logos, and tends to dislike logos that used as a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters – no Td or tD – we want TD or td. We were okay with how “Talent Development” looked.
We would like to see more which convey a combination of adventure with practicality and fun.
What we would like to see is more variety in colors. So for example, some of the logos that have already been submitted would be even better if a different color combination was used, particularly if that color combination conveyed a mix of practicality with fun.
Original Post below:
We need a logo for a department in our organization called "Talent Development." It is important that the logo has two versions: One is the full name "Talent Development" and it also needs to stand alone with just the initials "TD".
We have these notes form the department:
If our team was a car, we'd be a cross between a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Ford Explorer. We're multi-purpose, long lasting, reliable, dependable, powerful and adventurous. We're a good mix of practical and fun. BUT, unlike those two cars, we're efficient.
In general, we prefer not italics and definitely prefer sans serif. We like it when logos use white space as a meaningful element of the logo. Since we do training it would be neat if the white space called that out, though this is not required.
One element of all the logos we lois that they include a picture element. For example, the "Beats by Dre" logo looks like headphones. We also LOVE the use of white space or negative space in logos.
Lastly, we prefer that the logo does not have the color orange.
Prefer vector files.
