I am looking for a logo for our online CDL training program called "The High Road Training Program". "CDL" stands for "commercial driver's license" which is the license you need to drive a truck in the United States. This program will teach people the information they need to pass the tests for their commercial driver's license (CDL) in the United States.

The expression "High Road" means being the "better person" or travelling a path of integrity in life. So "The High Road Training Program" is meant to convey that our program is of very high quality, integrity, and professionalism.

I think I would like the words "High Road Training" on the logo. You can also try adding "TruckingTruth" to the logo somewhere, maybe "High Road Training" in big letters and "by TruckingTruth" in smaller letters but that might be tough. Might be too many words. You decide.

The current color scheme of the website is blue/black/white/gray/silver. I like those colors but I would certainly be open to others so be creative and show me your ideas.

Because I like the idea of "The High Road" being a more prestigious path I like the idea of a slightly illuminated background like those in the attached files. See what you can come up with. This is not necessary, just an idea.

I also love the style of the trucks in the attached images. Those images are incredible. Because "High Road Training" could mean almost any type of training, I think it's important for the logo to show right away that it is meant for truck driver training, so maybe incorporate an image of a truck into the logo.

About 90% of truck drivers in the United States are men, so this program is mostly aimed at men, but somewhat at women. So a more masculine logo would be better. A bold, tough, strong, confident look.

This program is aimed at individuals, not corporations. So I'd like a very professional, prestigious look, but not a "corporate" look if that makes sense. This is not aimed at corporate executives. It's aimed at ordinary, everyday people.

Ok, an update for everyone.

As far as colors, I really like the shades of blue from #18 and #40. It goes good with gray or silver. I also think that I may have limited everyone on the colors a bit too much. Maybe something to accent the blue like in #48 would be a good idea. I know I definitely do not want any red in it.

As far as the concept, I'm really starting to like the idea of the mountains in the background, a roadway, and the truck pointing upward toward the sky. #53 really has my attention. I like the clean look of the graphics. I want custom graphics where the features are easy to recognize but without too much detail so it doesn't look cluttered. I actually like the clean look of #18, but I'd really like other features too.

I'd also like something interesting with the font. Finally, what I'll want in the end is two different versions of the same logo. One might have more detail on it that would look good if it were shown large on a page. The other would be a much more simple ".png" version with a transparent background that I can use as an icon with any background color.

I hope I'm helping and not making this more confusing for everyone! :-) The entries are getting better as we go and you guys have really helped me find a concept that I like!

Are you sure that you can use that truck in the winning design? That truck is used in a game,on cd case of a game, "Hard Trucks" i think it's called

  Nice! The font on the bumper is a little tough to read. It blends a bit too much with the bumper. That's the only change I can really think of.

@ilocun14 I made #119 5 stars because it really does look great. I think it's your best one of the contest. The mountains look great. The font is very unique. I'm not sure how you could improve it but it deserves 5 stars :-)

"ariekenola" is coping others designs and he is using ready made vectors available in internet. "ariekenola" copied concept of "ilocun14". "ariekenola" is doing all of this things in each and every contest.

Ok we're down to the last day. We have one 5 star design and a number of 4 star designs. At this point I've run out of new ideas for the logo. As you can see I want to have mountains, a truck, and the words "HIGH ROAD TRAINING" and "TruckingTruth". I also like a blue and silver (gray) color scheme. I won't pick the winner until the contest has ended tomorrow so everyone take their best shot.

One other thing. Please focus on your own work and don't worry about what anyone else is doing. I will not allow someone to steal someone else's design and I won't use anything that I can prove was stolen. But I love the work I'm seeing from a lot of different designers and I very much appreciate the effort that everyone is putting in. This contest has gone very well and I will be doing several more contests after this. They will pay well and they will be guaranteed money so there will be more opportunities for everyone.

  Here's an idea. How about you actually submit an entry instead of just complaining about the others. This is a logo contest, not a complaining contest. If I find someone's work is a blatant copy I won't use it. If you can PROVE that something is stolen then prove it. Otherwise worry about your own work. Or actually do some work.

  The mountains still blend with the sky too much. Maybe make the sky very light blue behind the mountains? I'm not sure. But they need to stand out a little more.
  
  Use the same font as #109 . Make the letters Big and Bold for "HIGH ROAD TRAINING" and do not make the letters "curve". Use straight block letters.

  Ok, can you make the truck a little smaller?
  
  Make the ring a little bit lighter shade of blue or mix some lighter shades in with the darker shades.
  
  Also, can you make the ring a little wider? The ribbon looks great but it looks really big compared with the circle.
  
  Also, make the sky look a little more realistic. I love the shade of blue in the sky of #104. Maybe incorporate that color into the sky and a little bit of the ribbon?

  The truck would have to look like a graphic instead of a photo. I like the bottom one best. I think it would look better with the truck on the left and "High Road Training" on the right.
