We are looking to have a logo designed for our company, Virginia Smart Homes.

The focus of the company is Home Technology Systems such as Home Theaters, Whole-Home Music Systems, Home Automation, Automated Lighting, Security and Surveillance, Wiring, Custom Remote Controls, and more. Just about anything that comes to mind when you think of "Smart Home", we do it.

Our current logo which you see as our profile picture is left over from our old name, Battlefield Home Tech. We like the logo but feel that it may not be the perfect fit for our new expansion and wider array of services.

We are targeting both residential and commercial clients and would prefer to have a logo design that would be relevant to both.

We do not specifically have a tag line but a simple 3 word tag line might suit the logo well. Something like "Design - Install - Support" or "Design - Install - Enjoy" could be good ideas. Keep in mind that we do not require a tag line to be attached to the logo but it might make sense to have it in there. Alternate tag lines may be suggested to us for approval.

**Note that the wording in the logo MUST be "VA Smart Homes", as Virginia Smart Homes is already a registered domain name and we would like to prevent a possible misdirection when searching for us on the internet.

A logo that we are big fans of is attached as a possible idea for the overall look we are going for.

  They are not bad, but not in the style that we are after. At this point, we are leaning towards #7 and #3 as having more of the right look for the simple yet refined image we are after.

Rule of thumb for this contest: 3 stars = The look of the logo is a good concept, but not what we are after. 4 stars = We like most everything about the logo, but feel that it is not quite perfect. However, this design is close enough to our goal that it can be thought of as model on which refinements can be made to be the winner.

  Wording is fine but that is not the kind of graphic we are looking for. We are more drawn to the style of our current logo than that one.

#1 and #2 , I like the layout and the way the text looks. I do not think that the image is what we are looking for. We are drawn more towards having a structure of sorts as the image, as in our current and attached logo.
