Contest Brief

I need a design change for the following PSD. I can't seem to get the design quite right. I keep shuffling things around and I can't get the right side of the page to look natural, simple, and easy to navigate. There are three things that must remain:

1) The frames on the left side of the page.
2) The Photobook title; font size, position, color must remain in place.
3) Font type, Arial, and color of font must remain the same to integrate into the rest of website.
Font size is 16 px but fonts can be smaller.
4) Colors used must only be: 333333, 444444, 555555, 666666, 777777.

So go at it. If I like the layout, the winner will receive $50. I must receive the PSD file back before I reward the money.

Thank you for participating!

I am awarding this prize to ImageWorkerz for entry #18 . In my original brief, my PSD file did not have lines in it. ImageWorkerz added the horizontal lines and I was able to take this idea and refine into my own final design for my webpage. You can see the final design in my brief, PBSelect.png. This final design, I believe, looks elegant, simple to navigate, and inevitable. Amitwebdesigner further refined this idea but I already had my webpage finished on my own. Thank you, everyone!

I am about to declare a winner! Thank you, everyone, for all of your help. Honestly, I wish I had money to send to all of you. I know what kind of work it takes to be a web designer and you are all worthy of respect and have the right to make a living doing it. As of now, I am a bartender in a restaurant, I don't make a lot of money, and I'm trying to get this photography business off the ground. I am still struggling to finish the website and I thank all of you, once again, for your efforts. Stay tuned. I may be posting more contests in the future. Regards, David.

Thank you everyone for all of your hard work! I have come up with another layout that is closer to what I am looking for. You can see the newest PSD file in the Brief. Or you can see it below. It is still not perfect but getting better. http://i60.tinypic.com/o71zli.jpg

So far, ImageWorkerz, Entry #18 is my favorite. The color of the arrows and text are a bit too bright and so is the horizontal line at the bottom. At least this layout organizes things in a clean and efficient matter. I don't have lines on the rest of my website so I don't know if I can use them here or not. They do serve the function of separating each section, though. I have been working on my own and have come up with a similar layout. It's almost there. Does the text sections need to be centered rather than justified left? Thanks so far.

Thank you everyone for trying. There have been some good ideas but, so far, no entry is looking balanced enough and simple enough. Part of the reason may have to do with the brightness of some entries. I will change my brief. The only colors that should be used are: 333333, 444444, 555555, 666666, 777777. The rest of the website is designed that way. Thanks.

Woops! My bad.I had initially done a design with the original colours, and then some with brighter ones, but looks like I forgot to upload the normal one! Please see #16

I was wondering if you could elaborate any more on how you would like it to look so that we may design the page more to what you have in mind.

So far I can collect that you want
      It to be intuitive
      It to be natural
The title to be in the center
The look to be the same

Those are along with what you put in the details.

Hello! How are you? I was just wondering, in terms of the colour scheme, I presume that all has to stay the same?

Thank you so much for trying. I have been trying for days. I can't get it to look right. The Photobook title must remain in the center to match other pages I have already completed. This page must totally look natural and intuitive to use. I just have no idea what the layout should look like. I appreciate the fact that you are just moving things around and not changing the look. This is what I'm looking for. Good night! Take care.

Thank you very much for the invitation and for the quick feedback. I though of posting 3 different variations before I'm off. Actually I'm working on a 4th version, I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve. The centered title (Photobook) doesn't look good in my opinion.
Long text short, I'm posting a 4th variation in a minute.
