Looking for a new design idea for a screen in my mobile app (see attachment for current version). The screen just consists of tiles with the name of a topic on each tile. There are no icons, symbols or pictures associated with the topics, there will only be text. You can re-design the whole screen, including background. The current design works fine, but I am hoping to find something a little more creative, while still being professional.
The text must be clear and easily readable, some topics may be long, up to 20 characters. At this point we don't have an established theme or color scheme , so you are free to use any colors, styles, etc... There should be a hamburger menu icon (you don't need to design the menu). The app will be white label with just the organization's name at the top (no logo). You can use this company name in your example: Umbrella Corp.
There should be at least 2 tiles per row and it will just scroll down as far as necessary. If you think you can design it with 3 or more per row and still be readable and function well, that is OK. Otherwise, 2 per row seems to work well.
The app is a mobile training platform where workers can quickly access short lessons on topics important to their jobs. Here are a list of topics you can use in your example (the Overall lesson would be titled "Ethics" and these would be the topics under that lesson):
Kickbacks and Rebates
Gifts or Gratuities from Businesses
Food from Businesses
Entertainment by Businesses
Payment to Agents, Representatives, Outside Consultants
Other Improper Payments
Please let me know if you have any questions!
