  I like this variant. All that is missing here is a percentage indicator of compression ratio (relation of compressed (output) and uncompressed (input) bytes). the big kbps scale should start from 256 kb instead of 64k and should include 25 M and 30M at the other end.. could the needles have glowing like this one http://www.speedtest.net/ (after clicking on begin test)?
