Hello, I am a hip hop artist looking to get some cover art done for an EP I have coming out soon. I will try to provide as much detail as possible and will be available to answer any questions that arise. I am 90% sure that I will pick a contestant but as I've never used this service I did not provide a guarantee.

Artist name : Beckon
EP title : The Mindstate EP
Style of music : Smooth hip hop with jazz/soul beats and meaningful but mostly lighthearted lyrics. (More inspirational and happy about life rather than materialistic and egocentric). See here for examples : https://soundcloud.com/beckonmc

Style of design desired : Something minimal that draws inspiration from old sheet music covers (see attached). I would like for a rendition of my head to be included but it does not need to be super detailed. I would like to have my text logo for Beckon included as well as "The Mindstate EP". However, if you have another idea or something you think would look good, go for it and I will give feedback accordingly. I'm also very open to questions so please feel free.

Design basics : Minimalist sheet music style incorporating a rendition of my head, the text logo for "Beckon" and the EP title "The Mindstate EP"

I've attached a few old sheet music covers I like and a side on photo of myself. I have also attached the logo file for my name 'Beckon'. Please include this text in your design.

I would expect to be able to receive the .psd or equivalent file at the end of the process. You will be credited as the designer in the credits of the release.

  I think this design would be better suited to a banner than a cover. As such it's not really what im looking for.

  This is a good attempt. I like the use of red and I like the placement of the text. I also like how 'the' and 'ep' are in a different font. I'm not very keen on the head though and the solid block for my beard puts me off a bit. I will upload a higher quality photo of myself that may help.
