We currently use dropbox to share files between different users on different computers. We mainly use it for word and excel files.
Dropbox works very good but it has one big missing thing:
A user opens a office (word or excel) file and is changing the content on one computer. Another user on another pc opens the same file and is changing the content also. When both users save a conflict appears between those files. The problem is that I would like a software (Dropbox, Google Documents, Cloud,....) that shows you when a file is used by another user so you know you can not use it at that time. Or if you use it there is going to be a conflict.
I need someone who will know which software has the best solution for this problem. The software needs to be freeware also and it needs to be min of 2Gb of shared space.
The one who will provide me with this info and some kind of evidence this really works like that i will choose as contest winner.

i am using different computers...and i want to use this with different accounts on different computers....is it possible to do is with normal one drive or do i have to use the business one drive then? but that you have to pay... i can not share one file over OneDrive...i can only send a link over email...but i want the file to be constantly in the share usage...how can this be done?

  In Excel 2003, we decided offices to share files without any problems. Maybe there Sens return for 2003 as an option (my personal opinion).

excel online NO because we would like an universal software for all type of files...renaming the file doesnt help because we want to use the same file but different users..dropbox has the file history so its no problem to track down the changes...what we only need is to know when a file is being used by another user...if you want we can call it "live" view of whats happening to a file.

We have used it in office it's freeware and also give you the required space!
