Overview
We are looking for a graphical treatment of an app being developed. The app is about data exploration where players earn exploration points as they discover new and interesting data visualizations. Currently we have functionality mock-ups of the app; however we are looking for a graphical treatment of these mock-ups to make them feel more like a game.

What we are looking for:
• A design of the interface that looks and feels like a game.
• Reduce complexity of the interface by using iconography and playful graphics that are pleasing on the eye.
• A graphical treatment of both mock-ups (see attached).
• Must include all functionality which is present on the mock-ups provided, otherwise must provide the reason for removing or adding new functionality.
• Source design files must be provided in PNG or PSD (not flattened) format.

Supporting Materials
We have pulled together an inspiration folder which will show you what we are looking for. This can be found in the attached (inspiration.zip)

Here the player has typed a keyword in the search and can see the results which show related information including web articles, tweets and data visualizations.

The player is viewing a data visualization, the player can see others who have discovered the visualization and have made comments about it.

Winning
The chosen winner will also be given the opportunity for further work on the interface design, discussed separately to this contest.

i don't want to blow my horn, but why don't you post a regular job to pick someone apt to collaborate, with game design expertise, instead of having random guys ? btw, hiding posts might feel safe, but defaet the purpose of contest, has no one can tell what you like and why.

  I think he would also receive random bids at a regular job post. Also, having more ideas at the same time would be better compare to only one person doing all the ideas (which in realty, a freelancer could only produce 1 to 2 design). Job description is clear. What he wants is "A design of the interface that looks and feels like a game."

  We are using a gaming style to engage an audience who aren't data experts. The game style is more pleasing and interesting rather then a dry interface most data applications provide. There are game elements to the app so this is why we would like a game style interface.
