     I am sorry if anyone felt their time was wasted. There were some REALLY good designs submitted and I sincerely appreciate all the hard work that was done.
     
     Poor instructions...maybe....but it was only because we didn't know exactly what would work for us until we saw the options. Again, that you all for the hard work...it showed in the wonderful designs submitted.

  Wow...I dont really understand this criticism. Don't you think we know who are customers are, what we are able to get translated to a huge sign on our building and what we like butter than anyone? You both had great designs but in the end there was some reason we thought they would not be best for us. Rather than be negative you would be better off bowing out gracefully or learn from what we put at the top of the list and tweak your designs.

  Sorry, something came up I had to take of so I didn't get this narrowed down last night. If we had to pick right now these are the two we would be chosing from. They have a hint of tropical, show we are about fiber Art, are easy to read. We love the fonts used especially the script in the bottom text. They project a classy professional image for us.

     That is what we were hoping for but see that may be hard to define. Even if it is only an abstract art design like in #53...It is hard to say what you want when you are not a designer and know what can be done.

  I just uploaded a few images that I like. These are NOT my images and cannot be used as it. I just put them up to give you and idea of things related to fiber art and that I liked. They MAY or MAY NOT be something to use in your design. I am not a designer or I would have done this myself :) I know what I like when I see it.

  here are some things to keep in mind for the design we are looking for
  1) This will be a sign for our building..it must be clean and readable from a distance
  2) Viewers need to be able to know wjhat we DO "teaching fiber arts" (quilting, sewing, knitting, weaving and more)
  3) We want a subtle tropical theme since Oasis in our name but not overpowering the what we do message
  4) We are wanting to portray a classy professional image - not messy looking or cartoonish
