We are in need of a graphic designer that can create nice graphic overlays for product photography similar to original designs but yet still "new" in appearance.

THE JOB:

We are in need of graphic overlays for product photos that are thematically the same but suit EACH the following platforms and their sizes:

1) Facebook Cover Photo (top wide image) 851px by 315px
2) Facebook/Twitter Profile Picture (square that gets cropped to a circle) 400px by 400px
3) Twitter Profile Cover (top wide image) 1500px by 500px, adjusting for Twitter Cover safe zone)
4) Instagram Post Image (square that stays a square) 1080px by 1080px
5) Instagram "Story" Image (tall thin image) 1080px by 1920px

Designer is required to create GRAPHIC OVERLAYS like those in the samples, that can be uniformly applied to any of many similar artistic photos, and occasionally modified (text) for each photo.

General Theme: Mystery.
Nothing too bright or glaring. Mysterious and inviting curiosity is best.
As we narrow down our preferences, additional details will be listed in project comments - please check before submitting. Thank you.

How to submit for contest:

1) View the SAMPLES in the attached files. (Note: "Old Samples" are mostly "Right Aligned". All Finals from this project must be "Left Aligned")
2) Using the any of the "RAW PHOTOS" in the attached files, CREATE YOUR OWN VERSION OF THE GRAPHIC OVERLAY (stripe & text).
3) Use font attached for main text. Main text should read: "Join the Countdown..." (As seen in Sample 1, 3, and 6).
4) Adjust Photo and Graphic Overlay to export in BOTH "Facebook Cover" and "Instagram Post Image" formats.
5) Upload every submitted photo as a SEPERATE contest entry please. (Uploading all 5 sizes, as 5 entries is welcome.)

WINNING:
Changes or additional entries may be requested.
Winner be paid for the award in exchange for ALL FIVE graphic overlay sizes in transparent .png format without photo backgrounds.
Winner will be hired for additional editing purposes after contest. (Alternate text, and possible bulk photo output.)

WINNER REQUIREMENTS:
- Provide matching overlays for ALL FIVE platforms as contest prize.
- Must be available AFTER the contest, for frequent and fast minor image/text adjustments to overlays as a short-term additional Freelancer.com project. (Similar to the text seen in Sample 2).

NOTES:

This contest is under NDA. Do not share images/photos.
Photos in project uploads are property of the hiring company.

RATING NOTES:

Entries will be rated from 1 to 4 stars.
4 - Excellent - A winner will be chosen from these. Good models to follow.
3 - Good - In the right direction, but not quite right.
2 - Ok - Fine art, but not well liked.
1 - Poor - Didn't follow instructions.

Only the winner will be marked with 5 stars on the final day.

    UPDATED "What we've learned" data...

    UPDATED:
    Thing's we've learned in the first 24 hours of submissions:

    1) Ribbon or No-ribbon designs are both ok, but ribbons should have some transparency / fade. Solid opacity isn't working.
    2) Text at angles is always more attractive than level/horizontal. High on the left, low on the right... "down to the right" is best.
    3) Theme is "Mystery", thus excessive details added to the overlays (light flares, sparkles, confetti, additional border decor) works against the image instead of for it. Subtle intrigue is more interesting for this project.
    We want people saying "countdown for what!?" and following along because much seems hidden.
    4) Don't recolor anything in the background/photo. Do not adjust angle of photo.
    5) Keep dice LARGE in frame, similar to samples.
    6) Submission on Facebook or Twitter Cover Photo (wide images) appear more valuable to discern overall style preference. Square versions are secondary (though necessary).
