Contest Brief

Illustrate 12 historical wartime figures using a limited color pallet in vector format as described by the details in the attached power point presentation. Use the reference photos and descriptions in the powerpoint. I'm thinking a cross between comic book heros and villians and political cartoon caricatures. Each figure is to be drawn in three quarters view profile from waste up. Winner of the contest must provide me editable vector .eps or .ai files.

I've attached a png file of an "Archie" comic. I like that style of illustration, thick outline, cartoonish, but more serious expressions.

Historical figures include:
Franklin D. Roosevelt
John F. Kennedy
Winston Churchill
George W. Bush
George H. Bush
Joseph Stalin
Benito Mussolini
Saddam Hussein
Adolf Hitler
Fidel Castro
Emperor Showa
Osama bin Laden

Hi, love the project. Could you define how stylized you would like the illustrations to be. I can simplify them more or less. Hope you find a kick-ass artist for your project, there's plenty out there...Good luck.

Not really what I am looking for. More cartoonish. I've attached an illustration to the project brief that I like to maybe give you a direction of style. Thinker outlines, simpler style, fewer lines overall, varied stroke with from thin to thick. Hope that helps. Thanks for the entry.

Yes, not very cartoony, but thick lines. I'm not really sure how to describe want I am envisioning...maybe like as if you were drawing an action figure of that person...looking either heroic or sinister based on description in powerpoint. I'm really open to anything. If you submit one of your choice I'll give you feedback on how I like it. I would like to see three total before making final decision. Thank you for your interest.

increase price, you have 12 figure and with 3 different angles each, so basically that's a lot for the current price...

I see your point. Instead of increasing the price, I changed it to only one drawing of each figure from a three quarters profile. If I like what the winner does, I may decide to hire them to do the remaining two views. For now, I will just change the contest to only 12 drawings, one of each figure in three quarters profile.
