I have an iPhone app icon, but I need it to be improved by a lot.

The app the icon is for an app that posts GIFs to Instagram.

The app is used by both males and females so gender-neutrality is important. Keeping the icon at least a little bit similar in style to the original is preferred.

The icon file (.PSD or .ai) must make it easy to change the color later on if I need to.

I have to say -- I prefer app icons to be the iOS7 flat style even though some of you have created some cool non-flat designs. Maybe turn them into something flat?

Clarification: I think the new icon should use the old icon as inspiration (the spiral lens, the smile) but should not simply be an iteration of the old one.
