  I am looking to get the contest extended as this was my first time in using this service. If I do, here is some additional insight... the board game design represents the journey through our careers, rather than climbing the greasy ladder of success. I am looking for a board game based design
  
  
  Ladders are the various things we can do on route to have a successful lifelong career that meets our own life goals. Snakes represent the things that can get in the way and set us back in our careers.
  
  The board game represents the journey which can be accelerated (via ladders) or set back by events (via snakes)
  
  The bottom square of the base of the ladder needs to include the text e.g. "Training" and the ladder then takes us forward some squares.
  
  The top square of a snake needs to include the head of the snake and contain the text relating to the event e.g. "Made Redundant" we then slide down the body of the snake taking us back a few squares.

  I only saw this contest a this morning and I can relate to the theme so I decided to join (though I rushed the drawing...)
  
  About the cover
  Life is like a puzzle and and time waits for no one to solve it. Life crumbles if you don't take the right action and if you stand still you'll crumble along with it. Shift happens, so when the opportunity comes do not hesitate to leap to the next ladder of life no matter how many snakes are up ahead.

  I also notice that some submissions look like they are using clipart. This would also lead to a submission being rejected as I would not to put myself at risk of copyright infringement.

     Hello, if you do accept my design, please let me know what I could change and I would Gladly change. Do you like the apple/board idea? And do you need a person to be represented on the ladder? All the images that have been used in the artwork is made digitally so you don't have to worry about a risk of copyright infringement.

  In the light of recent submissions, I have to say that none of the submissions are compliant with the brief - although Riddihts is the closest to being along the right lines. I rejected it as the colour Scheme is not right; it is designed as a book cover, whereas I am looking just of the artwork; the snakes start in the wrong place and are far too happy given that they represent career threats; there is no one on the career ladders and the ladders start from the wrong cells. Please read the brief and my comments on the message board before submitting and I will see if I can extend..

  Dear CH, #6 - Rough sketch for approval of the concept. The tree is the tree of life. Apples are the 'opportunities of life' and different colors represent different careers. I'm sure you are clear about the idea of snakes and ladders. The people watching from below are inspired by the success and are his potential followers. shall I move forward with this idea?
