  Please allow me to correct a small mistake. In the first story there only one dog, one bear and one elephant and not many. Also the fenced area they guard is better described as a vegetable garden and not a yard. Within this vegetable garden an old man cultivates his vegetables (including carrots) for him to eat but also to sell. His house in not within this vegetable garden. At the end of the story he decides to ask the rabbit to guard the vegetable garden, in exchange for carrots, because he sees that the rabbit is too clever for him to beat it.

  Hi Errikos16. This is a wonderful project. However I had a simple question.
  The brief says you want the illustrations to be in AI (VECTOR) format. IS it vector format that you are looking at or jpeg files? For eg :

     By the way both these jpgs you posted are nice in terms of drawing style. That is why I say follow any drawing style you like trying to visualize what would be more suitable for this kind of book.

  Colored illustrations are preferable for kids. I used to Pen & Ink, Black & White illustrations (Hand Drawn) and I'm not skilled in some photoshop, etc.. I don't think my idea would sell after I drawn it that style. What do you think Mr. Contest Holder?

     Well I would not like to limit you but have in mind that we are talking about a kids book for young children. Thus maybe a cartoon like design is suitable but please do not limit yourself. Thank you for your interest in my project.

  Please let me clarify. The dimensions are in cm and 20,5 is the height and 14 is the width. Although this is a cover for an e-book, and thus I think that the questions set by GLGale are not very important, if it was a printed book I could say that the image you design would take the whole cover page of a book with a spine. Ie the dimensions of the book itself would be 20,5 cm (height) and 14 cm (width). Thank you very much for you interest in my project!

  Another question in regards to the cover is whether or not it is a full wraparound with spine, full wrap like a magazine without a spine, or if that dimension is just the front cover image. Without this information it's a little difficult to conceptualize the layout for the design.
