Hi,
We are a PC based games web site. We are moving our old domain/name to a new one (gamewatcher.com; so it is not live yet) and since we will be going heavily into media, we need to get our logo animated for various types of video casts.
The animation will indlude our logo, and several different captions:
- video review
- video interview
- video news
- competition
etc (around 10)
The intro needs to last 10 seconds. The animation needs to have sounds.
We would like to hit the following themes of the animation:
high tech, sci fi, darker theme (even could mention horror)
What we are mainly looking for is some sort of a cool scan/beam appearance of the eye in the logo. It could do some scan/beam sweeps and then appear with it. For instance, 2 left/right motions/sweeps coming from the eye, while having eye appear with it. Then the rest of the logo appears. However, if you have any unique idea for it and think it would look good, go for it!

“The contest went with around 25 designers samples. Zveki\'s sample won among the bunch so indeed we loved their work. To be specific about it, they were the only ones that made graphics & sound mix on the level that we wanted. So seeing how no other designer was able to come close to what was needed, yeah Zveki gets 5 stars for sure.”

I thought Video Hive is a single effect template. It is a store with various effects! Now I know what we're talking about x)
So guys I don't mind if anybody is using templates really, I just want it looking good and customized properly to add uniqueness.

Why not save yourself some money and pay a freelancer $40 for putting your logo in the template?

I want uniqueness. We're a 14 years old business. Just new to these media stuff. I can't value something important as that with a $40 tag on it. This is more important and valued then that. So good template yes, but perfectly adjusted/customized. Not a rip off. Or you can do it all unique of course.

The contest is still alive and kicking. No winning entries. What I've mentioned is indeed a simple rip off of a template. We need some uniqueness. I expect something somewhat unique for 490 USD people please. Problem with entries so far is that while there are some really great directions, none seems to have a story/theme. It just seems to be a collection of random or preset (templated) effects, put together. Some entries got a unique touch but we're not there yet people. None is simply complete and themed and all worked out yet.
Any chance for the last push since we're now a week away from closure?

I would if I could. It was unsealed when it was launched, then somebody suggested to seal it, then I got it sealed via FL support. Now I'd need to ask again to have it unsealed...

Kres7787, I would really like to win this contest, please respond to entry number 17 effect, IT IS NOT A TEMPLATE... If you like this effect I will do the whole logo and add movement and make it 3D... please understand it takes a long to time to do these animation and I will not proceed if you don't approve it as having a chance of winning.

Hi Kres, I want to join this one. I have already planned the concept, but please make sure you are not listening to unpro post like someone did below. An artist doesn't care about business. They care about quality and professionalism. And if a so called "ARTIST" is egoistic, the future is not that bright for him/her. And Scifi is in my vain....I am in.
