Hi CH, to help you decide on your logo please learn to use image search on google or bing.

Type in for example zen logo or circle logo.

What a COMPLETE waste of time this contest is. Even though my designs placed first and second in your polling of the "finalist" I AM PULLING ALL OF MY DESIGNS FROM THIS "CONTEST" FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS.

1. "I will be able to make a decision by this weekend itself." - NOT!
2. " I have narrowed my choices to the final 5 finalists" - But yet you are now calling for more submissions?
3. This is a SEALED CONTEST but yet you open it up to show the top designs and then post your request for designers to "note" what you like - essentially asking for us to copy what you like.

  The poll is there to get feedback from designers because you see designs differently than a CH. The ranking of your design in the polls is hardly conclusive of my decision.
  
  1. "I will be able to make a decision by this weekend" is not the same as "I am obliged to make this decision by the weekend"
  
  2. I had the contest sealed at the start because I wanted to see unique designs. I opened it up to polling so you could all see what I was liking and what designs appealed to me.
  
  3. Your design was good but I really wanted to see the "collaboration" theme reflected in the logo. That's when you submitted 2 new designs & it copied an existing design. I just gave you feedback on what I did not like about it.
  
  You are welcome to withdraw your submissions. I tell designers what I like because that's called feedback. To keep the contest open or sealed or display my top designs is my prerogative.

Hello All,

It was interesting to get designers to poll the shortlist. Thanks for pointing out what's overdone/overused.

I appreciate the feedback. Apparently, I still have two days left on this contest before I have to announce the winner so I will use those two days to see if I can get any more submissions.

Based on designs I have shortlisted (you can see the link to the polls in my post below), you will note that I am drawn to something that can represent a cluster or reflect the theme of collaboration. It's also useful to remind the designers that Zen Campus is a collaborative workspace or a co-working facility where a number of people come in and spend many hours together but in an environment that allows them to be creative and supportive.

I will create a new shortlist of my final selections once I have a few more designs to consider.

Thank you to all that are contributing their time and talent to my endeavour.

IMPORTANT UPDATE (NOVEMBER 15, 2012)

Thank you for the overwhelming response. Some of the entries submitted have led me to reconsider my original brief so I thought I would post this update here to keep the playing field level for all participants.

I am no longer convinced that my original design (or colour spec) is a good benchmark for you. Some of you have chosen to be adventurous and made logo recommendations with designs I would never have thought of and colours (like greens, blues etc.) that I didn't think would work.

I applaud your creativity. You've now whetted my appetite to see more original creations and designs without being bound by the parameters set by my initial clumsy logo which I submitted.

This contest ends on Sunday so I am very excited to see what comes forward over the next few days.

Thank you again to every one that has take the time to contribute to this project.

  aah, if I knew exactly what I wanted this would be a lot simpler for us all :) I want something that allows the brand Zen Campus to shine. Not only will this logo be on our website, store front etc. but we hope to use it on a lot of merchandise such as coffee cups, tshirts, pens etc. The goal is that anyone that is a patron/user of the space would want to show it off by using our merchandise. So when you design a logo ask yourself - would this design look good on a coffee cup? Would I wear a t'shirt that had this logo? and does it still capture the theme of zen, balance, integrity and collaboration.

Hi All!!

My last comment/response to BuDesign (see below) has generated some very very creative submissions! Some of you even submitted examples of my logo on coffee mugs, pens and t'shirts! Thank you for that. I am excited to see what else comes along and will be able to make a decision by this weekend itself. Thank you again to everyone that is participating. What a great site this is.
