Contest Brief

Hello. I need a logo for my media company, e-Merge Media. Attached is a sketch and a image that a family member made up but its not quite what I'm looking for. Im looking for something Professional, sleek, classy and hip all at the same time. I would like the words included and also a stand alone symbol so i can use it for a favicon and other purposes. Please post your ideas and i will choose the best. If you have any questions please let me know.
