Contest Brief

Proof of concept developed to allow us to email a catalogue (in PDF) to a customer. As the user browses the PDF, the user should be able to select items in the PDF (through embedded hyperlinks) and add to a shopping cart. The PDF and the shopping cart should both be simultaneously visible to the user.

Looking for best possible user experience.

Please refer to CatalogueApp.docx file provided and sample catalogue.

Hi TTST, not quite. There is going to be a requirement for editing the PDF but that will be a separate task. What I want to achieve here is the following: (1) When a user clicks on the hyperlink (e.g. the Product ID you have circled), the user will be prompted to enter a quantity, press submit which adds the item to a shopping cart (which can just be a mock shopping cart at this point). The real thing I am after is for the user to be able to view the shopping cart AND browse the PDF at the same time.

      Hi there!!
I can make a form instead of PDF of what exactly you need, then you can embed this form to your website. Will it be OK?
Please let me know ASAP so that I can start working on it.
      Regards.

Hi Clinz, at this point we do not have a shopping site. So, either build a mock shopping cart page or if you have one already you can use that.

Hello Hiren026, you need to show PDF embedded in web page. The shopping cart also needs to be visible. The user should be able to click on hyperlinks in PDF to add items to catalogue.
