Your assignment is to redesign and improve this page providing end user a richer UI experience.

Before you design
1) Understand this will be a point of sale system and your design are bounded within this.

When you design
1) Don't waste time if you are only changing color and font. I will reject immediately.
2) Design something unique and one of the kind
3) Bring in a new concept or theme and use the same theme to apply for all
4) Create a rich and wow UI experience.
5) Use your illustrator skill and show some unique shapes and design

What i Don't like
1) Too robotic and too old school computer design( Please don't looks like a Win 3.1.1 interface )
2) Too futuristic and outer space design

Grapheek, for design #2 , #3 there is very little i can imagine from your art work, the only thing changes here is the background and item button, i can't image the price receipts and others. can you work on more to elaborate? at this draft there is nothing to comment

Uhm. Is "Groups/Shortcuts" a Tab-bar? Or something for the "Carwash, Diamond, etc."? I'm just clearing it so that my design will be proportion.

  the groups/shortcuts is a switch button, if switch to groups, the item below will show group name, user click to get into child node, as for shortcuts, the item below will so hot item.
