Proposal – Develop a logo and ideally a tagline phrase to be used in all communications to create an identifiable brand for a musical band with three artists called Thomas Vincent Band. A tagline phrase is a bonus. An example tagline is WalMart’s (Save money, live better).
The band is quite talented and plays songs from the late 1960s and 1970s typically. It plays both cover songs and some originals. Cover songs are from The Who, Moody Blues, Paul McCarthy, John Lennon, Genesis, Emerson Lake and Palmer and many more. They are not an ‘in your face rock band’ but more of one that can evoke emotions and memories with great songs and the ability to produce well integrated songs with a variety of power and energy levels appropriate to the venue include strong tunes for larger venues.
1. The name of Thomas Vincent Band must be spelled out with a logo or as part of a logo
2. Focus on the unique identity
a. Use the key elements of the band into a log and tagline.
i. “Treasured tunes from the 60’s and 70’s”
ii. “Listen to jewels of the 60’s and 70’s”
3. The logo must be appropriate and appeal across the following generations
a. Baby Boomers (1946-1964)
b. Generation X (1965-1979) and Generation Y (Millennials) (1980-1994)
4. The logo cannot be wordy and unwieldly.
a. Graphic artist provides:
i. All files and ownership of the logo design
ii. No clipart or any previously published material can be re-used for this
iii. Need to do a trademark search ([url removed, login to view]) before awarding winner
iv. Do NOT have to include a tagline
Objective – Having a distinctive logo provides a brand identity that facilitates increased awareness, loyalty and ultimately improved revenue from a larger following at [url removed, login to view] purpose of this clear brand logo is to cause an effect. It needs to stand for something different and singular. Something focused, memorable, meaningful, and valuable enough to cause emotion and, ultimately [url removed, login to view] logo ideally needs to create action. It exists to sell services.

2. Any advertisements of upcoming gigs
3. Business cards
4. Band sign displayed at gigs
