Looking inside the card and confronted with the cartoon or illustration, the recipient of the card immediately recognizes himself or herself. He or she (!) is a Tightwad/Scrooge, someone who hates spending money. Somebody (the card sender) wants to make a statement. The statement can be a warning or a final warning!

Tightwad is someone who avoids spending money like a relative who wraps a piece of junk from the basement in used wrapping paper and gives it to you even though he or she could afford to buy you a nice birthday present.
Scrooge is someone who hates spending money.

Style
Personal style:
Strong symbolism is the key.
