On contest/contract Award:
1. Once contract is awarded the designer will provide an email with signed agreement stating that the logo is an original design with no copyright infringement or any kind or plagiarism. This will also allow me the opportunity to assess your creativity and ensure that your design language is in sync with my company vision and ideas for future work purposes.
2. All design files will be finalised with unlimited revisions within 2 weeks to complete the Logo, Logo Icon, Stationary (As per below requirements).
3. All design and ownership of files will transfer to Upkeepa once final design is completed
Company – Upkeepa
Company background:
Upkeepa is a start-up creating a new ‘home services’ marketplace that connects people with home maintenance tasks to instantly bookable home cleaning and home handyman service professionals.
Customers can use their smart phone to book cleaners, handyman services. In future this will expand to other 'home' services i.e. painters, plumbers, electricians. The key message if that the company is about services for the 'home'.

In future additional ‘home services’ will be added.
Contest Requirements:
The contest is to create a Logo, Logo Icon, and basic Stationary for ‘Upkeepa’.
1 Logo:
— Logo is for company name which can be designed for ‘UPKEEPA’ or ‘upkeepa’
The logo will be used as:
A. All white font on green background
B. All green font on white background
C. All black font on white background
D. All white font on black background.
2 Logo Icon:
— -icon for use on Mobile App social sites I.e. Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, online blog sites, and also stationary
3 Stationary:
— Business Card
— MS Powerpoint template
— MS Word template
Additional Information:
In future Upkeepa will be designing mobile application.
You may be considered for this future work if you win the contest. If you want to submit stationary as part of your entry a design for mobile app then that will be evaluated as well as part of your submission and considered part of the agreement.

“We had 400+ submissions for our logo, logo icon, business stationary design contest. Logoexpertbd (Faruk) came up with a simple design that stood out from the rest. We ran a poll and it came out top from other designs. Helpfully after the contest winner was awarded the prize we were then able to complete a series of revisions to get to a final product / set of graphics for our use. Pros: Very responsive. Helpful to educate on graphic package usage. Many revisions. Cons: I'd say there were some communication challenges along the way however, we got the end result we needed. No phone communications only email. If you want quick work at a reasonable price then it's worth trying Logoexpertbd out.”

All, sadly we did find a copied design in one of the submissions. We have discounted this entry. We have also updated the contest details to included an agreement by designers that there is no plagiarism or infringement of copyright. We are glad to know that there are still many great designs in the contest and we look forward to awarding later this week.

The tough area for many has been icons...as a reminder, we are a marketplace app that connects people with home maintenance tasks to people able to complete those tasks. In that sense we provide a marketplace to... 'up keep a home'. In certain situations our business service people would hold keys to people's homes to carry out their regular weekly work activities. As an idea that the team talked about but we did not see come through 'up keep a home' could be visually interpreted 'up (key)p a home'. A 'key' may be something to think about. Posting here rather than individually as no-one has used this idea. This is not a requirement, we are not graphic designers, just an idea in case anyone wished to try this. There was mention in the forum below of someone's design being copied, if anyone has had an issue then please send a PM to me on chat and we will review it and provide feedback. As yet we have not seen any designs we believe are copies however, there are a number of designs based on the initial hand drawings. In which case these were all copied as a starting point from the hand drawing. We hope there are no issues. We are of course happy to review any PM requests you may have on this topic but please to avoid any challenges please do submit your unique ideas before the end of the contest. Good luck!
