First off, sorry for the late reply. I had so many new messages that your reply got lost in the the tidal wave of "You've got mail!" alerts. :\ :P Uhmmmm....dude...Well...with that being the case, you are the new top entry. I doubt anyone will supplant this. This is freaking perfect! I will still unfortunately need to wait the last 6 for the contest, but this is exactly the kind of work I started this contest for.

The original work (you can see it here http://www.mlahanas.de/Greeks/EducationAncientGreece.htm) is an old greek vase. What I did is to redraw that image, which, as you can see is not the same. I don't think you'll have copyright problems.

Even if it proves to be legal in the United States, I don't want to have to check all laws for any other countries I may do business in, or commission design of an entire new logo specific to that nation.

Oh mannnnnn....you had me sooo excited. I thought this was an original work. I am not sure of the legality of applying for a legal trademark for an image which is technically not original and/or not officially licensed to me by the original author. :\
