I currently use Mplex and dvdauthor to create a VOB containing the MPEG2+AC3 streams. I then use dvdauthor to create the IFO files and so forth. The generated files work great on everything except Toshiba DVD players, most specifically, a Toshiba SD-K730. The DVD menu shows fine on the screen, and you can hit play on the menu, and the video will begin to play. The video plays audio and video for 1 second roughly, and then the audio stops, no hissing or anything, just a flat stop as if the disc were paused/stopped. Then approximately 1 second after, the video stops as well. You can manually fast-forward the disc and see video, but the disc will not play.
